Our match against the Royal Navy Golfing Society has been played at the highly rated West Sussex Golf Club for many years. West Sussex is a traditional 'two-ball' club and our match there against the Navy has been played as two rounds of foursomes, with an excellent lunch between the two rounds.

Following feedback from the match manager of the Navy team that the foursomes format was not popular with many of their potential players, and discussion with those who played in the event in 2024, we agreed to trial a new format in 2025, with the match played as 12 'singles' matches, followed by lunch. The new format proved very successful and we will therefore continue with this in 2026 - please add your name to the list if you would like to be considered for selection.

This is a great opportunity to play 18 holes with your own ball over this superb heathland course, which has wide fairways mainly bordered by heather. The best advice is of course to stay out of the heather but, if you do find yourself in there, you should always look for the shortest way back to the fairway!
