In recent years the club team have proved to be very difficult to beat, with successes for the RAFGS few and far between. In his first year as Match Manager, Sean Doherty came close to success in 2024, but unfortunately the match in 2025 resulted in a heavy defeat - albeit several of the matches were only decided on the 17th or 18th greens..

Results notwithstanding, this is always a very enjoyable fixture and the excellent course at Henley is invariably in great condition. You can also look forward to an excellent meal in the clubhouse after the golf.
